I am helping to raise money so the Oklahoma City K-9 unit dogs can have vests just like my daddy.
My daddy and Kye went to work on August 24th, 2014 like any normal night. They worked very hard that night together. Kye didn’t get to come home like my daddy did. He was stabbed by a man and he died on August 25th in the hospital.
My mommy told me that Kye saved my daddy’s life that night. I was so so sad that my friend didn’t get to come home to me too. My first funeral that I ever had to go to was his. It was so sad. I put my sunglasses in his coffin because I was afraid that heaven was too bright for him. I saw how many people loved him. People gave me lots of hugs and told me they were so sorry I lost my friend. There were so many people there to thank Kye for being a hero. I don’t want another little girl to have to go to a funeral like I did. I would like it if all the doggies could be safe.
So,I am helping to raise money for bullet and stab proof vests for dogs. My wish is that every OCPD dog and every other dog that works like my daddy’s dog, can wear a vest too.
In my hometown, I am selling my handmade bracelets that will also go toward buying vests. I am only 5, but I am trying my hardest to help these dogs be safe. I hope you will too. Thank you for your time!
